Christmas is a time of
Like the lights on the trees,
Loved ones illuminate the shortening days.
Like the yule log flames, Loved ones provide warmth on winter nights.
I thank you for being there, and spreading yuletide cheer.

This poem was written for the holidays with the intent of publishing on Christmas cards to be sent to family and friends. This poem was a collaboration between Melinda Longtin and myself. It serves as a reminder that the Christmas season is about supporting and giving to those you love.
What makes Christmas special is not the gifts you open, but the moments of producing a smile on someone else’s face. Giving gifts, support, or time to loved ones and the community demonstrates that you care about those around you. So again, Merry Christmas, you guys are what make this holiday season special.
