This is a surreal photo manipulation that combines two photographs to create a dreamlike eclipse in Charlotte. I shot both the image of the skyline and the image of the eclipse on two separate days. The alignment of the stars is similar to what would have been their location on the 21st of August 2017. I use the online application The Sky Live to determine their location. The photo of Charlotte was originally shot during the day, but I edited the image into night. This makes it appear that the skyline was not lit up, giving it an eerie, apocalyptic aesthetic.
